The Power of Optimism - Alan Loy McGinnis

There's good advice here, but it's mostly stuff you've already heard a million times -- change negative thoughts to positive ones, smile even when you don't feel like it (and continue to do it until you feel your mood change -- the whole "fake it til you make it" idea), when you're feeling down on yourself, do good things for others and just keep pushing through the bad times. My problem wit this book is that there were a number of passages that seemed to come off kinda judgemental / preachy. I did like the personal stories about famous writers and the quotes McGinnis references.
