Silk - Alessandro Baricco, Ann Goldstein

The edition I have doesn't have the movie-tie in artwork. This novella has such beautiful, sparse writing but each word helps to bring the environment to life. I felt like I could feel all the silks, plants, the snowy air, everything. Funny too, I was a few pages in the book before I realized I had seen the movie adaptation with Kiera Knightly last year. Never made the connection until I was reading and thought "wait, I swear I know this story from somewhere". :-P
