Uncle Tom's Cabin: Or, Life Among the Lowly, The Splendid Edition - Harriet Beecher Stowe, David S. Reynolds, Hammatt Billings

I was actually never required to read this in school but it's always been in the TBR. Finally got around to it this month and finished in just a few days. There are some really great stories in this book! Sad that my teachers never sold it more beyond "yeah it was important in its day". There's still a lot to learn here just about basic humanity and how low people can get. There is some blatant racism on Stowe's part as well as some heavy preaching that went on a little long for me. Beyond that, I highly recommend checking this one out at least once.
